A Funny Day at the Office: Daffodil Therapy and (Controlled) Chaos By the Team at Daffodil Therapy and Care

Running a growing business is serious work—but let’s be honest, some days it feels more like a sitcom with high-functioning chaos and a lot of coffee. Here’s a little peek behind the scenes at what really goes on at Daffodil Therapy and Care.
Kelly (Director / Merch Queen): If it can be branded, Kelly will find it. Pens? Branded. Drink bottles? Branded. Yoga mats, candles, high-vis vests, dog jumpers? If it stays still long enough, it gets a daffodil on it. She swears it's for "marketing and team morale"—but we all know she just really loves merch. At this point, our office looks like a cheerful daffodil-themed pop-up shop.
Jason (Support Coordination Legend / Bake Boss): Jason is the kind of person who brings in homemade brownies and knows the NDIS price guide off by heart. But let’s be honest—his husband deserves the credit for the baked goods. Every staff morning tea is a subtle game of “how many baked items can we coerce Jason’s husband into making?” Spoiler: the answer is always enough to cause a sugar crash by 2pm.
Niamh (The One We’d All Fall Apart Without): There’s a silent agreement in the office that if Niamh ever took a sick day, we’d all have to go home. She’s our walking, talking systems wizard, support tracker, crisis diffuser, and snack provider. Honestly, she doesn’t run the place—she anchors it. Someone once asked if she was on the org chart. We just pointed upward.
Brooke (The Calm in the Storm): While the rest of us spiral into whiteboards, spreadsheets and colour-coded chaos, Brooke is the steady hand keeping everything on track. She has spreadsheets for the spreadsheets and is probably the reason we haven't missed a deadline (or misplaced Kelly in the merch stockroom).
Jayde (Chief Idea Filter / Strategy Wrangler): Jayde’s official role might be service development, but let’s be honest—her real job is managing Kelly's brain. Each day she gently herds Kelly’s 27 new business ideas into a manageable queue, usually starting with, “Let’s park that for Phase Two…” We suspect she has a secret document titled ‘Kelly’s Ideas: Volume 9.’
Chloe (Office Comedian / Spirit Lifter): When things get stressful, Chloe is the human reset button. Whether it's an impression, a wildly inappropriate meme, or just one of her infamous one-liners, she can break the tension in three seconds flat. Honestly, if laughter really is the best medicine, Chloe deserves a Medicare rebate.
Kelly S. (The Voice of Reason): Every chaotic group needs one person to bring the logic—and that’s Kelly S. She's the calm, grounding presence who gently reminds us we don’t need branded coffee mugs for the plants or a company llama. She listens to our ideas, nods thoughtfully, and says, “...Or we could just stick to the plan.” Iconic.
At Daffodil Therapy and Care, we work hard, laugh harder, and support each other through all the madness. Behind the meetings and case notes and service delivery plans is a team of humans who genuinely care—for our clients and for each other.
And sure, some days feel a little wild… but we wouldn’t have it any other way.
Next week - the rundown of the rest of the team!
